He was predeceased by: his son Brian Meissner (Jeanne); and his siblings, Ethel and Robert. He is survived by: his wife Anita C. Meissner; his children, Jeff (Margaret "Peggy"), Rick (June) and Amy Lewonka (Stephen); his grandchildren, Ryan (Jane), Rebecca (Jeffrey), Catherine (Liam), Daniel (Miki), Ellen, David, Madeleine (Noah), Hannah, Grace, Willa, Lucy and Jasper; and his great grandchildren, Colin and Athena. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lombardo Funeral Home (Southtowns Chapel) (3060 Abbott Rd, Orchard Park, NY 14127). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (4536 S Buffalo St, Orchard Park, NY 14127).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran School.
