In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact William had on those he encountered along his journey. Though William may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kirkland and Esther Kirkland; his sister Bonnie Walsh-Kirkland; and his parents-in-law, Peter and Lenore VanderMeer.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Kirkland; his son William J. P. Kirkland; and his brothers-in-law, Michael (Jan) and Peter VanderMeer (Patricia). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the John J Kaczor Funeral Home, Inc. (5453 Southwestern Blvd, Hamburg, NY 14075). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Fresh Water Friends, P.O. Box 1025 Ballston Lake, NY 12019.
