He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Ruddy and William Heegan; and his stepbrother David Barr. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Kilmer of Hamden, NY; his children, Jeffrey Foster (Diane) of Bronxville, NY, Lora Foster-Cave (Troy) of Franklin, NY and Brian Foster (Jessica) of Walton, NY; his grandchildren, Nora, Lila, Gideon, Eve, Trace, Raegan and Martie Jean; his half-siblings, Rose Marie, Jerry, Joe, Michael and Richard Heegan; and his siblings-in-law, Ryan Kilmer (Beverly), Lynn Kilmer, Ken Prestidge (Penny), Sharon Nagel and Joanne Forry (David) of South Carolina. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
