He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Pilger and Mary Pilger; his siblings, Walter, Robert, Mary, Harold and Charles; and his son-in-law Stephen Baechle.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Baechle and Donald Pilger (Judi); his granddaughters, Rebecca Baechle, Holli Orr (Tom) and Alyssa Fokine (Nick); his great grandchildren, Harleigh Baechle, Jayson Orr and Noelle Orr; his great great grandchild Aubree Baechle; and his great grandchild Brantley Wilkerson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
