He is survived by: his wife Elfriede; his children, Andrew Tompkins (Deanna), Christina Tompkins and Gretchen Cruz (Carlos); his grandchildren, Markus, Nathaniel, Nick and Isabella; his siblings, Sandy Hansen, Craig, Cheryl, Kim Barrows and Jonathan; and his stepmother Muriel Tompkins (Dunham). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
