He was predeceased by: his parents, William Harris and Elenor Hansen; his son Ronald M. Harris Jr.; and his brother William Harris. He is survived by: his wife Debra; his sons, Christopher and Patrick; his son-in-law Michael; his grandchildren, Sophia and Jack; and his sister Cindee Bradshaw.
