He was predeceased by: his parents, Sameul Ballard and Helen Ballard (Minker); and his siblings, Samuel, Alvin, Wilma Ballard, Carol Madison, Melissa Baker and Freda Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Lona Ballard (Nutting); and his children, Richard Roberts (Joan), Edith Whiting, Robert Roberts, Roselyn Lambert (Richard), Tina Farrar, David Ballard (Wendy) and Tabitha Farrar. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
