He is survived by: his stepchildren, Richard Chapman (Barbara) of Tully, NY, Carl Chapman (Joan) of Hancock, NY, Donald Chapman of Hancock, NY, Leonard Chapman of Hancock, NY and Marilyn Phillips of Cortland, NY; his grandchildren, Jennifer Ledbetter (Chapman), Kari Decker (James), Kendra Spangenberg, Brandy Chapman, Leonard Chapman (Megan), Randy Phillips, Amanda Bosket (Andrew), Daderik, Kodiak Ledbetter, Declan Chapman, Evan, Jasmine Spangenberg, Ben Decker, Jacob, Sawyer Lobdell, Tyler, Austin (Tiyana), Liam, Leah Chapman, Shailyn Smith and Camden Phillips; his great great grandchildren, Camden Phillips, Riley and Evan Spangenberg; his brother Edward Sprague of Walton, NY; and his sister-in-law Beulah Karcher. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
