With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James W. Best II of Hannibal, New York, who passed away on January 15, 2026 at the age of 60. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sister-in-law Shelly Iorizzo (Schumaker); and his stepbrother Brian Pringle. He is survived by: his significant other Sherry Best; his siblings, Janice Scott (Douglas), Walter Best (Courtney), Russell Pringle (Sherrie) and Sally Griffin (Patrick); his parents, Elaine M. Best and James W. Best (Faye Elaine); his in-laws, Gary and Joy Schumaker; and his brother-in-law Wayne Schumaker (Sarah). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In honor of Jimmer, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, in loving tribute to his mother, Elaine.
