He is survived by: his wife Ann Scott Palen; his daughters, Nancy Liddy (John) of Tully and Judy Peebles (Andy) of Tully; his grandchildren, Daniel Liddy (Julia), Eric Liddy (Meagan), Patrick Liddy (Jacqueline), Emily Alletzhauser (Luke) and Lexi Schug (Nick); and his siblings, David Palen and Sharon Henderson (Larry). He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Richard Palen's memory to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
