William Francis Grau Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Francis Grau of Harford, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 9, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though William Francis has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert F. Grau, Sr. and Arlene Siebert Grau; and his brother Robert Grau, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughter Andrea Wilkinson (Alan) of Groton; and his sister Susan Jordan of Franklin, TN. He is also survived by 2 grandsons, 4 nieces, 4 great-nieces, and one great-nephew.
A graveside service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Green Hills Cemetery (17 Highland Dr, Dryden, NY 13053). A celebration of life was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the Dryden American Legion.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that, donations be made to Matthew House, the hospice house in Auburn, NY where he spent his final week, or to any Veteran related organization in honor of his service and his enduring spirit.
