He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett E. Valentine and Margaret M. Shaver Valentine; and his brothers, Robert E., Murray F. and E. Eugene Valentine.

He is survived by: his wife Emily V. Palch; his children, Deborah A. Valentine (Robert Thornton) of Cape Coral, FL and Timothy A. Valentine (Patricia Pennington) of Lake Bonaparte, NY; his grandchildren, Joshua and Janelle Valentine of Lake Bonaparte, NY; his sister Sally A. Richer of Manlius, NY; and his sister-in-law Helen M. Valentine of Clearwater, FL.. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
