It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Butera of Hauppauge, New York, who passed away on August 3, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Butera; and her son Leonard. She is survived by: her daughters, Francine (Fredy) and Janice (Paul); her grandchildren, Farrah, Fallon, Chelsea (Giovanni), Faith and Charles (Ashley); her great grandchildren, Ariana and Vienna; and her sister Lesa Paolicelli.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Fives Smithtown Funeral Home (31 Landing Avenue, Smithtown, NY 11787). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A prayer will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calverton National Cemetery (210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, NY 11933).
