It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bernardo Ferrera (Hawthorne, New York), who passed away on December 13, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Domenico Ferrera and Santa Ferrera; his wife Anna; and his brother Giovanni Ferrera. He is survived by: his children, Tony (Roz) of Briarcliff Manor and Grace Caso (Roberto) of Hawthorne; his grandchildren, Michelle (Sean), Michael (Meg), Marisa (Chris), David, Christopher (Sarina) and Analisa; his great grandchildren, James, Mackenzie, Roma, Fiona and Matthew; and his sisters, Maria Notarantonio and Rosa Sementilli. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hawthorne Funeral Home (21 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Rosary Church (170 Bradhurst Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532). A burial will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (10 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532).
