With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mercia Kenna of Hawthorne, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 5, 2025 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas and Kathleen; and her spouse Thomas Kenna. She is survived by: her sister Mary (Ciaran); her children, Jean-Marie (John), Claire (Tom), Maureen, Eileen (Joe), Kathleen, Thomas (Amy) and Deirdre (Luciana); her grandchildren, Steve, Jess (Nelson), T. J., Daniel (Danielle), Bridget, Riley, Kyle, Madeline, Fiona, Faith, Ciara, Katie and Luke; her great grandchildren, Noah, Jade, Lucy and Evelyn; and her siblings-in-law, Ciaran Mahon and Margaret McCabe. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Pleasant Manor Funeral Home (575 Columbus Ave, Thornwood, NY 10594). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Holy Rosary Church (170 Bradhurst Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532). A burial was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (10 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532).
