James F. Fleig Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James F. Fleig of Hemlock, New York, who passed away on May 18, 2025, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As James departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy James leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert "Bill" Fleig and Patricia Fleig (Carey); and his brother Billie Fleig. He is survived by: his siblings, John Fleig (Peg) of Conesus, Paul Fleig (Cheryl) of Victor, Nancy Oppel (Tim) of Penn Yan, Richard Fleig (Janel) of Mendon, Tom Fleig (Kathy) of Honeoye and Sue Card (Bruce) of Honeoye. He is also survived by several loving cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, along with many friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home (8624 Main St, Honeoye, NY 14471). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (8961 Main St, Honeoye, NY 14471).
