He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Blovat and Bernice Blovat (Bronson); and his siblings, Fred Blovat and Jeanne Sutkowski. He is survived by: his sons, Chester of Ilion and William "Bill" Blovat of Ilion; his grandchildren, Trisha (Jon Boucher) of Ilion, Chelsea Blovat of Jamesville, Sarah (Jason Zawatski) of Pittsford, NY, Elizabeth, Seth and Jacob Blovat of Ilion; his great grandchildren, Carsen, Brice Boucher of Ilion, Emma, Nolan Zawatski of Pittsford and Charlie Lawrence of Ilion; and his brother David Blovat of Syracuse. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Mohawk Reformed Church (20 S Otsego St, Mohawk, NY 13407). The military honors will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at the North Columbia Cemetery.
