With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peter Riesel of Herkimer, New York, who passed away on October 10, 2025 at the age of 50. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Peter departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Peter may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Peter leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his brother Jeffrey Riesel of Ilion; and his pet Duke. He is survived by: his mother Constance Hadsell Birdsall; his father-in-law Bill Birdsall of Ballston Spa; his father Daniel Riesel (Mary-Margaret Riesel) of Titusville; his brother Christopher Lucas of Ballston Spa; his sister-in-law Missy Riesel; and his nephews, Jeffrey Riesel, Daniel Riesel, Brent Riesel and Stacia Sheehan of Saratoga Springs.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Crossway's Bar & Grill (123 E Clark St, Ilion, NY 13357).
