He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert J. DeCarr and Mary DeCarr (Ward); his sons, James DeCarr (Scotty) and Robert DeCarr; his brother Joseph DeCarr; his daughter-in-law Pamela DeCarr; and his brothers-in-law, Jon Davis and Gary Spanfelner.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Massaro; his children, Frank DeCarr (Karen) and Catherine Maxwell (Bill); his grandchildren, Mitchell DeCarr, Carter DeCarr (Skylar), Shelby Rose DeCarr, Grady DeCarr, Madalyn DeCarr (Mitchell), Charlie DeCarr, Aliya Tarbania (Anthony), Amber Bell (Max), Cole Maxwell and Derek Maxwell; his great grandchild Piper; and his siblings, Julie DeCarr, Mary Kay Davis, Patricia DeCarr, Ann Smith and John DeCarr (Regina). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis de Sales Church (219 N Bellinger St, Herkimer, NY 13350).
