She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Anna Wendrow and Abe Wendrow; her siblings, Phoebe and Morty; her siblings-in-law, Sylvia, Herbie, Alan, Cheryl and Sharon; her husband William "Billy" Rubin; her children, Andrew, Richard, Curt, Margery, Patty and Janis; her grandchildren, David, Francesca, Danny, Conor, Haley, Ian, Jonathan, Lindsay, Matthew, Annie, Jason, Brian and Leslie; her great grandchildren, Wyatt, Caroline, Leo, Robbie and Nico; her nieces and nephews, Harvey, Abby, Janis, Amy, Adam and Daryl; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Heather, Jason, Adam, Suzanne and Michael.

True to her loving and caring spirit, Thea volunteered her time at an Alzheimer's center during her years in Illinois.
