She is survived by: her children, John Vern Kivinen (Michelle), Patricia Ann Willerton (Thomas) and Kathryn Vera Kivinen; and her grandchildren, Alessandra Kivinen, Katelyn Kivinen and Nicholas Kivinen (Josie).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
