Veronica left this world on January 17, 2025 at the age of 77, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Loretta Whalen Zimmerman and Clifford Zimmerman. She is survived by: her husband Glen Nelson; her son Christopher (Allison); her grandchildren, Aubrey and Leo; her siblings, Betty Brook, Sandra Whitley and Clifford Zimmerman (Kippy); and her siblings' children, Debbie Brooks-Snyder (Jannine Wood) and Michael Brooks.

A founding member of the I Love Lloyd Foundation, Veronica served as treasurer.
