He was predeceased by : his parents, William E. Porter and Bertha Porter (Wright); and his brother Tom Porter. He is survived by : his children, William Porter (Beth) of Hinsdale, Jason Porter (Kelly) of Ft. Myers, FL and Teresa (Shawn); his brothers, Jack Porter (Peggy) of Scotia, NY, Ronnie Porter (Anna) of Corpus Cristi, TX and Roy Porter (Sherry) of Clemmons, NC.; and his grandchildren, Kristin Swan, James Porter, Rachel Windsor, Mark Torrey, Adria Cannon, Sarah Emerson-Euliano, Madelyn Emerson, Gabriella Emerson and Henry T. Porter. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Cattaraugus County Homecare and Hospice or Bethany Lutheran Church.
