He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Carol; and his siblings, Donald Von Gunden (Helen), Mary Maynard, Janice Wilbur and Aileen Cappello.
He is survived by: his children, Robert W. Von Gunden Jr., Christine Von Gunden-Parker, Donna Von Gunden-Martinez and Bryan Von Gunden (April); his friend Heather Smith; and his sister-in-law Kathy Shaver. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hoy Funeral Home (3855 Seneca St, West Seneca, NY 14224). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo.
