He was predeceased by: his parents, George Herring and Muriel Herring (Lenz); and his daughter Karen Kane. He is survived by: his wife Sybil Herring (Furness); his sons, James Herring, Jr. and George Herring (Clarissa Gallup); his adoptive daughter Hailey Herring (Tyler Spall); and his grandchildren, Stacy Leone (Nick), Jimmy Herring III (Bella Natalie), Nicole Mcphal, Eddie Kane, Jordan Herring and Haiden Herring. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins.
