She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Furness and Margaret Furness (Barker); her husband John; her children, Nancy Wright and Michael Gould; her siblings, Harold Furness (Shelva), Jack Furness, Estes Furness, Eleanor Furness, Janet Reis, Bill Furness (Diane) and James Furness (Judy); and her brother-in-law James Herring.

She is survived by: her daughters, Marleen Horsey (Rick), Sandy Murnan (Lynn), Debbie Clark (Tommie) and Patty Costanza (Chuck); her siblings, Leroy Furness (Barbara), Sybil Herring and Barbara Schuler (Bill); and her sisters-in-law, Mary and Anita Furness. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in Shirley's name may be made to the Kendall Fire Dept.
