He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Churchill Hemmings and Violet Berry Hemmings; his sons, Michael and Jeffery Hemmings; his sisters, Phyllis Jacobi (Hemmings) and Donna Corey (Hemmings); and his brother-in-law Robert Jacobi.
He is survived by: his children, Lorrie Hemmings Duvall (Ken), Monnica Hemmings Bruno (Billy), Phillip Hemmings (Lisa) and Andrew Hemmings (Lisa); Laurie Hopkins (Jim), Lee Hopkins (Lisa), Lynne Moore (Billy), Luanne Hopkins (Don) and Lance Hopkins (Sandy). He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a niece, and a nephew.
