With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Scott A. Thornton of Homer, New York, who passed away on April 12, 2025 at the age of 55. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Scott is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Scott's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He is survived by: his parents, Adelaphine Wells (Thornton) and Clarence Berton Thornton; his son Xavier Thornton (Xav); and his siblings, Timothy Thornton of Virgil, Susan Thornton Moscicki of Little York, Todd Thornton of Homer and Jason Thornton of Ohio. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, an aunt and an uncle... and friends... lots and lots of friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home (5016 US-11, Homer, NY 13077). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
