We bid farewell to Thomas Barnhart (Homer, New York), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 24, 2025 at the age of 83. Thomas touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Thomas leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Barnhart and Freda Barnhart (Garrow); and his wife Maxine Barnhart. He is survived by: his children, Thomas E. Barnhart (Claudia) of Pine Bush, NY and Rebecca Krueger (Michael) of Indiana; and his siblings, Ramona Byrnes of Cortland, Lana Schumacher of Virgil, Eleanor Rivers of Batavia and Leonard Barnhart of California. He is also survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

“Thomas was a wonderful person, I knew him at Crown Park and was his companion aide there. He loved his kids so much and talked about them all the time. He was always asking about a battery for his car and would tell me about the reservation he grew up on. You did a lovely obituary and I was just looking for the service and saw there wasn’t one. I just wanted to let you know he spoke of you kids all the time and was so proud of his daughter who worked in hospitals and son.”
