He is survived by : his wife Svetlana Glebovna Lukishova; his children, Ursula Ester Schmid and Cornelius Gregor Schmid; his brothers, Johannes Schmid and Christoph Schmid; his nieces and nephews, Joachim Schmid, Bernhard Schmid, Agnes Berner (Schmid) and Monika Hageneder (Schmid); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Anna, Alexander, Philipp, Felix, Moritz, Ansgar and Salzburg. He is also survived by his relatives and friends.
