She was predeceased by: her husband Frederick Arner; her parents, Earl Hill and Irene Hill (Allen); and her brothers, Earl, John and Charlie Hill.

She is survived by: her children, Frederick "Kevin" Arner (Bobbi Short), Kenneth Arner (Pam Poprawski), Keith Arner and Laurie Arner (Dave Macaluso); her grandchildren, Nick (Kha), Nathan (Amy), Jacob, Anthony, Danielle and Rachel (Josh); her great grandchildren, Kaiden, Rachel, Deacon, Phoebe, Rhett, Heath, Flynn and Serena; her sister Betty Stephens (John Farrell) of Florida; and her nieces and nephews, John and Char Hill.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc. (59 Monroe St, Honeoye Falls, NY 14472). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Lima Volunteer Ambulance Facility (7024 W Main St, Lima, NY 14485).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Headed For Furever, Inc. 4373 River Road, Scottsville, NY 14546. In honor of Irene's lifelong love of animals, especially her beloved cats, the family welcomes donations to support the care and placement of animals in need.
