He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Powers and Agnes Powers; his niece Jennifer Bakaitis; his nephew Michael Bakaitis; and his siblings-in-law, Fred Bouplon and Ann Powers.
He is survived by: his siblings, Richard Powers of Hoosick Falls, N. Y., Margaret Bakaitis of Hoosick Falls, N. Y., Kathleen Peabody of Hoosick Falls, N. Y. and Barbara Bouplon of Hoosick Falls, N. Y.; his wife Bronnie; his children, Missie (Jim Lee), Calli (Ben Gaines), Wendy (Joe Somerset), Ed (Shannon Whalen) and Allison (Jeremy Gulley); and his grandchildren, Cody (Liz), Justin, Tyler Gaines, Logan, Connor, MacKenzie Powers, Jayda, Jai, Skylar Gulley, Matthew, Adam and Hannah Somerset. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mahar Funeral Home (43 Main St, Hoosick Falls, NY 12090). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (67 Main St, Hoosick Falls, NY 12090). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at the H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery (200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871).
