He is survived by: his wife Patty (Patty); his daughters, Margaret McAuliffe (Jerry), Kathryn Caraway (Bob) and Lee Anne Spurr; his grandchildren, Samantha, Michael, Stephanie Merwin, Zander Spurr, Maeve and Noreen McAuliffe; his great grandchild Jameson Brownell; his brothers, John Shaw (Ursula) and Joe Shaw (Pat); and his siblings-in-law, Peggy and Butch Gorman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
