She was predeceased by : her parents, John Burns and Eileen Burns (Bailey); and her sister Marge Cutler. She is survived by : her son Toby; her daughter-in-law Cheryl Reopel; her siblings, John Jr. and Shirley Barry; her husband Albert "Hoppy" Reopel; and her grandchildren, Kristin Reopell, Michael Reopell, Margaret Reopell, Renee Moor (John), Lindsey Brown (DeCarlo), Keegan Marchand (Laura), David Kilroy, Daniel Kilroy, Jack Reopel and Charles Reopel. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

We kindly request no flowers, and any memorial donations in Joan's name may go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
