He is survived by: his wife Susan Herring of Cambridge; his children, Eric Herring (Brenda) of Fruita, Colorado and Kristin Smith of Arizona; his stepdaughter Casey Pike (Derick); his grandchildren, Evan Herring, Brandon Herring, Quinn Lane, Chase Lane, Gardner Pike and Casper Pike; and his brother Winton "Butch" Herring.
