He was predeceased by : his parents, Michael Herlihy and Mary Herlihy (Dillon). He is survived by : his wife Kathleen M. Murphy; his children, Tim (Tricia) of Ridgefield, CT, Kathleen Griemsmann (Andrew) of Poughkeepsie, Michael (Lisa) of Hopewell Junction and Patrick (Bridget) of Poughkeepsie; and his grandchildren, Martin, Jane, Julia, Terry, Dean, Gwen, Lily and Charlotte Herlihy.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. (895 NY-82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 at 10:45 AM at the Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Church (1925 NY-82, Lagrangeville, NY 12540).
