With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Marie Hynes (Hopewell Junction, New York), born in Poughkeepsie, New York, who passed away on July 8, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Vincent E. Hynes; her parents, Hardy Brownell and Sadie Helen Brownell (Snyder); her sister Barbara Simmons; her siblings-in-law, John Simmons and Nancy Hynes Briggs; and her parents-in-law, Vincent J, Cora Tobin Hynes and Constance Crutchfield Rowe.
She is survived by: her children, Suzann Peterson (Bruce), Wendy Travis (Howard) and Darrell Hynes (Denise Kearsing); her grandchildren, Christopher Lombardi (Melissa), Stefanie Lombardi, Vincent J Hynes (Samatha) and Raymond Hynes (Kathleen); her great grandchildren, Madison Lombardi, Logan Lombardi, Eli Jones-Lombardi, Lily Hynes, Peyton Hynes, Otto Hynes, Cole Hynes and Finn Hynes; her sisters, Sandra Prosser, Beverly Baright and Katherine Brownell; and her siblings-in-law, Carol Robin, Jim Robin, Jeanette Sasser, Bruce Copeland, Shelly Copeland and Dan Briggs. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, dear and special local friends, as well as dear friends.
