It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Helen Kowtun of Hornell, New York, who passed away on September 14, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Lieb and Jean Lieb (O'Connor); and her brother Harold R. "Bob" Lieb. She is survived by: her husband Alexander Kowtun; her children, Anthony Kowtun of Hornell and Kathryn; her grandchildren, Conner, Alex, Haiden, Will, Michael, Laura, Parker, Preston and Payton; her great grandchild Grayson; and her siblings, Margie Frungillo (John) of Hornell, James Lieb (Mary) of Albany, NY and John Lieb (Elizabeth) of Hornell. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Barbara's family requests that memorial contributions in her name be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Envelopes for memorial contributions will be available at the funeral home and church.
