He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Rees and Catherine Rees; and his daughter Kathryn Kerbs (Andy). He is survived by: his wife Rose Rees (Parks); his children, Richard Rees, Amy Griffin (Shawn) and Jill Greening (Greg); and his grandchildren, Patrick, Michael, Lexi, Danielle, Joey, Lacie, Julia, Kathryn and Jacob. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
