He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lewis and Helen Nesbit Lewis (Lautenslager); and his siblings, Louis Lewis, Homer Lewis and Julie Harding.
He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Lewis; his children, Greg Lewis and Debbie Hannon; his siblings, John Nesbit of Hornell, Sam Nesbit of Canisteo, Raymond Nesbit of Hornell, Nancy Brutsman of Cameron Mills, Helen Stephens (Thomas) of Cameron Mills and Twyla Bates (Kevin); his stepchildren, Laurie Haskins of Cuba and Steven Haigh of Geneseo; and his grandchildren, Natalie Doyle (Ryan), Daryle "Xavier" Haigh, Corrisa Loncher, Ryan Loncher (Angelina), Jocelyn "Greyson" Haigh and Quinn Haigh. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home (354 Canisteo St, Hornell, NY 14843).
