He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Whitesell and T. Edith Latten Whitesell; his wife Noreen K. Billings; his siblings, Milford C. "Skip" Whitesell, Donnie Joseph Whitesell and Thelma "Betty" Patrick; and his granddaughter Michelle Whitesell.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn Fletcher (Jerry) of Hornell, Jodi Greunke (Bernie) of Hornell, Clarke Whitesell (Brandy), Jason Whitesell (Mary) of Rexville, James Whitesell (Cherie) of Andover and Jennifer Whitesell (Rich) of Bath; and his siblings, Richard Whitesell of Wellsville, G. Ronald Whitesell (Linda) of Andover and Darla Williams of Wellsville. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
