Donald Paul Matula Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on January 31, 2026, at the age of 89, Donald Paul Matula of Hornell, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Donald leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Matula and Mary Matula (Siatkowski); and his siblings, Robert Matula (Barbara) and Marilyn Murphy (Kevin). He is survived by: his wife Joan Matula (Potpinka); his children, Michelle Wissick (Scott) of Rochester, NY and Gregory Matula of Portland, OR; and his close friend Maggie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Because of Donald's love of dogs, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Hornell Area Humane Society, 7649 Industrial Park Road, Hornell, NY 14843.
