He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Sobus and Caroline Wojnar Sobus; his siblings, Catherine Krivinsky, Stella Polniaszek, Josephine Raimonte, John Sobus, William Sobus, Stanley Sobus and Edward Sobus; and his grandson Dustin Flanigan.

He is survived by: his close friend Rita Heisler; and his children, Gregory, Brian, Stacey and Kara Sobus. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.
