We announce the death of Carmen D. Colon of Howard Beach, New York, who passed away on August 15, 2026, at the age of 91. Carmen will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlos Galarza and Monserrate Galarza; her husband Wilfredo Colón; and her grandmother Mima. She is survived by: her aunt Brooklyn; her children, Luis (Tammy), Edward (Millie), Arlene (JR), Maggie (Oleg) and Carmen (Emilio); her grandchildren, Grisel, Katelyn, Jonathan, Justin, Edward, Wilfredo, Isaias and Jake; her great grandchildren, Cassidy, Brooke and London; her daughter-in-law Rosa (Lily); and her son Wilfredo Colón, Jr.. She is also survived by sisters, brother, nieces, nephews, and many other family members and friends.
