She was predeceased by: her parents, Mark F. Hughes and Marjorie E. Hughes (Russell); her brothers, Michael Hughes and Leo Hughes; her nephew John "Mickey" Harris, Jr.; her aunt Shirley Sipowicz; and her cousin JoAnne Loiselle.
She is survived by: her husband John E. LaFay of Hudson Falls; her sons, John LaFay (Carol) of Schenectady and Mark (Shelly) of Hudson Falls; her grandchildren, Nicole LaFay, Andrew LaFay, Megan of Hudson Falls, Michelle LaFay and Tyler of Ballston Spa; her great grandchild Tevin John LaFay of Hudson Falls; and her sister Elaine Harris (John).
