He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles King and Eva King (Haiber); his siblings, Wayne King, Keith Gorton, Rob Gorton, Bill Gorton, Gary Gorton, Ricky and Denise (DeGolyer); his brother-in-law Robert Worcester; and his nephew Austin Lane.

He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Gorton (Worcester) of San Diego; his children, Rebecca Lee Gorton (Jaeson Paul), Rachel Gorton (Jim Haigler) and Robin Gorton; his grandchildren, Rose, Phoenix and Charlee (Josh Ginther); his great grandchild Addison; his siblings, Guy King, Steve Gorton, Jeff Gorton (Donna), Terry Gorton, Fay Speck (Skip) and Christine Carlson (Larry); and his siblings-in-law, Richard DeGolyer and Kathleen King. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
