It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George W. Washburn Sr. (Hudson, New York), who passed away on November 21, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Wolfe and George W. Washburn; and his wife Mary Lou. He is survived by: his children, Gina Washburn, George Washburn, Jr., Rev. Richard H. A. Washburn, Chaplain and Greenport Fire; his adoptive son Allen Krom; his grandchildren, Jeremy and Alyssa; his caregiver Hailey; and his great grandchildren, Gabriel, Bennett, Audrina, Jade, Jonah, Damian and Blake.
In lieu of flowers, mourners are asked to donate to Greenport Pumper Co. No. 1. at PO Box 375, Hudson, NY 12534-0375.
