He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Day and Harry Van Alstyne. He is survived by: his daughters, Meg Brown of Stuyvesant, NY and Amy Quinn of Conroe; his grandchildren, Justin Brown of Kinderhook and Brittnay Roche of East Greenbush; and his close friend Linda Schabot.
