He was predeceased by: his parents, Loretta Barber (Peter) and William C. Barber; his brothers, Howard and William J. Barber; and his sister-in-law Barbara McDermott (Haley).
He is survived by: his wife Bonita Barber (Waters); his children, Gail Barber of East Greenbush, NY and Daniel W. Barber (Patricia Casavant) of Tennessee; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Acker (Thomas), Thomas Dailey (Tara Blake), Rebecca Marino (Nicholas) and Ayla Barber. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren; and other loving relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Russell's honor may be made to the Adirondack Balloon Festival, PO Box 883, Glens Falls, NY 12801 or to the Shriners Hospital for Children. We believe making a donation to one of these organizations would be the best tribute to his extraordinary life.
