The family announces the passing of Donald D. DeLorenzo of Hyde Park, New York on October 2, 2026. Donald, born on September 21, 1937 in Schenectady, New York, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony DeLorenzo and Theresa DeMartin; and his son Todd. He is survived by: his wife Sue Fitzpatrick; his daughters, Denise DeLorenzo of Fairfield, PA and Dana Scanlon (Terence) of Plantation, FL; his grandson Andrew Scanlon; and his siblings, Rosemary Caswell, David DeLorenzo (Kathleen) and James DeLorenzo (Janet). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sweet's Funeral Home (4365 Albany Post Rd, Hyde Park, NY 12538). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
